About the Course:
This is a fantastic introduction to Digital Photography for absolute beginners or those with a little experience of using a camera. DSLR or compact camera welcome.

• Transferring photos from camera and editing
• Printing and e-mailing photos

How will I learn?
A friendly, supportive lecturer will start with absolute basics. Your progress will be recognised and recorded by your tutor throughout the course
Do I need any experience?
None what so ever, just an interest in photography and a passion to learn.
What can I do next?
We offer a follow on to stage 2. This runs in the summer term as it involves shoots on locations such as Gloucester Docks, Woodchester Mansion and Slimbridge. Your own transport is necessary. Talk to your tutor about what your next step might be.
What do I need to bring to my first class?
You will need to bring your own Digital SLR camera and lead. You might want to invest in a memory stick for saving your images but your tutor will discuss this with you as the course progresses. You might want to bring a folder for hand outs and notepad and pen for your own notes.
You will use PCs or laptops belonging to the venues.
Are there any extra costs?
No, all materials provided are included in the course fee.
Splento provides an annual scholarship in order to support beginner photographers. Click on the link for more information on applying.
