The awarding body Chartered Management Institute (CMI) works with business and education to inspire candidates to become skilled, confident and successful managers and leaders.
This qualification is aimed at practicing or aspiring managers who will supervise or mange a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They will set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instructions, direction and guidance. Day to day operational and project activities are a key part of their role. The certificate provides a broader knowledge of skills to help you be more effective in specific management areas, with increased focus on the areas that are most appropriate to your role and organisation.
This courses offers a number of workshops for different units:Workshop dates: Induction – Tuesday 10th of January at 10:00am - 11:00am Unit 301 - Tuesday 24th of January 09:30am - 17:30pm Unit 302 – Tuesday 28th February 09.30am - 17:30pm.
How will I learn?
This course is an interactive online learning environment. These sessions are live with your tutor and other students on set teaching dates. This will allow you to ask questions and gain skills all without leaving your desk.
This qualification is delivered through a series of workshops, you will be expected to attend all workshops and induction lessons, please get in contact for workshop dates and times.
The two units of this course are;
CMI 301 – Principles of Management and Leadership: Being equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to manage and lead effectively are essential if an individual and their organisation are to succeed. This unit has been designed for learners who want to develop or sharpen their professional edge and enhance personal effectiveness. This unit focuses on the ways in which an organisation operates. The application of management and leadership approaches and how these can positively impact your ability to lead, improve performance and support your team, customers and colleagues.
CMI 302 – Managing a Team to Achieve Results: The ability to manage teams, which are able to communicate effectively and overcome barriers to achievement is a critical skill for any manager. High performing cohesive teams are created in an environment where there is a collective understanding of values, goals and objectives. This unit has been developed to support managers in understanding the nature of teams in the workplace, and how these can be managed to achieve results.
This course is a 12-week interactive online learning environment. These sessions are live with your tutor and other students on set teaching dates. This will be allowing you to ask questions and gain skills all without leaving your desk.
Our virtual learning courses brings the classroom to you. Courses are online,
allowing you to study from anywhere however classes run live at scheduled times
and dates. Giving you the full live classroom experience with other learners and
our expert lecturers, all from the comfort of your home.
