This Level 2 course is a general business qualification designed to provide you with a solid understanding of business and the additional skills needed to progress to the next level or secure employment. During this course, you will develop the skills that employers are really looking for, such as communication, numeracy, presentation skills, analysis, interpretation, application and the evaluation of information. What do I need to join?

Learners will need to possess 4 GCSE Grade 3 or above including English Language and maths.

Maths & English

As part of our committment to providing opportunties for learners to continue to develop and practice both their literacy and numeracy skills, oppportunities to use different skills and techniques in both English and maths will be provided in sessions. On the L2 First Certificate Business, learners will also study both GCSE English and GCSE maths as part of their overall programme.

Work Experience

A key component of all Programmes is that learners will undertake a Work Placement. This is crucial as it allows learners to parctice new knowledge, skills and behaviours in an employment setting. Learners will receive help in securing their Work Placement through our Work Placement Team here at SGS, who will work with employers to ensure that all relevant Health & Safety, relevant insurances and safeguarding measures are in place.

What can I do next?

The aim of the L2 First Certificate Business is that upon successful completion, learners are able to progress onto the L3 programme of their choice. After successful completion of their L3 Qualification, learners could enter a skilled occupation or choose to continue their studies through an Apprenticeship, a Higher Technical Qualification, or a Higher Education Course
