How will I learn?
This qualification delivered through workshops, each unit in this qualification consists of two full-day workshops and an additional tutorial session. To achieve this qualification, you must complete a combination of at least 13 credits. We have carefully selected two units that meet this requirement, but alternative units may be available upon request. Unit 501: 15th and 16th October 2024, 9:30am - 4:30pm at Filton Campus Principles of Operational Leadership and Management in an Organisational Context - This unit empowers learners with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary to effectively manage and lead within diverse organizational settings. Essential for individual and organizational success in today's competitive and dynamic environment, learners will explore the impact of an organization's structure and governance on management and leadership. They will delve into theoretical models, management styles, and approaches that foster a culture of trust, respect, and support. Unit 502: 19th and 20th November 2024, 9:30am - 4:30pm via Microsoft teams Principles of Developing, Managing, and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success - The ability to lead individuals and teams to success is a paramount skill for managers. This unit focuses on the fundamental management and leadership skills required to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role. Learners will explore theoretical and practical approaches to develop, lead, and manage teams, whether remote or multidisciplinary. They will learn techniques for assessing current and future team capabilities, including the vital roles of recruitment, selection, and staff development. By completing this unit, managers will gain a comprehensive understanding of managing individuals and teams, as well as approaches to support, motivate, and inspire them to exceed expectations.
Entry Requirements
You will need to have a good level of English and assignment writing experience. You also need to have management experience at minimum team leader level. Level 3 qualification or above in Leadership and Management would be beneficial. On enrolment you will need to complete a short interview, you will also have the option to speak to the course programme manager.

The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
