Summary
Capture the essence of your personal journey and transform it into captivating memoir writing in the "Exploring the Self" workshop series. Delve into the power of words as you explore the concepts of history, memory, and self-expression.
Through a series of online workshops, you will develop your writing skills, discover your unique voice, and craft imaginative and well-crafted memoir pieces. Gain confidence in sharing and reading your work aloud, while providing supportive feedback to your fellow participants. Expand your knowledge of memoir writing through diverse reading materials and embrace the opportunity to explore new ideas.
How will I learn?
Teaching will be delivered through a series of online workshops (via Microsoft Teams) that aim to develop confidence in writing and reading your work aloud, as well as providing the necessary feedback to your peers in a supportive and constructive way. Ultimately, the aim is to broaden your knowledge of the memoir as well as provide guidance on how best to craft your writing. Some weekly sessions will be supported by reading material that draws from a diverse community of writers.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this workshop series, although some experience in writing prose and poetry is an advantage. along with a willingness to learn by exploring new ideas and the ability to communicate your work effectively. Access to a computer and the internet is required to participate in the online workshops.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
