Summary
Whether you are new to clay or have already experimented with it, this session is the perfect opportunity to get creative in a friendly and positive environment. We will talk you through the steps of hand-building with clay and help you create a self-watering plant pot, decorate and colour it with slips. Self-watering plant pots work through the natural porosity of clay to slowly transfer water from a reservoir through capillarity. After the session we will leave to dry, fire it, glaze over with a transparent glaze and fire it again before you can come pick it up.
How will I learn?
Through hands on and creative demonstrations in the session. You will be supported by the tutor in creating your own ideas and provided ideas to follow and adapt.
