Once you have completed Level 5, obtaining the Level 6 Professional Diploma allows you to be awarded the prestigious MCIPS accreditation. This is your professional licence to practice. MCIPS is renowned across the world and demanded by over 64% of UK employers recruiting procurement and supply chain professionals.
The Level 6 Professional Diploma is a degree equivalent qualification, allowing you to use the letters MCIPS after your name.
The average salary for all UK procurement and supply chain professionals has been revealed as £48,415 for 2020, in the CIPS/Hays salary survey results. Some highlights include the average pay reported for a Procurement Manager (£46k), a Procurement Specialist (£32k) and a Procurement Director (£110k) which is a 4.8% increase on 2019. Growth in procurement salaries overall in the UK is 4.9%, compared to the national average increase of only 3.4% in 2019.

How will I learn?
A mixture of classroom and online learning one day a week on a Thursday at our Filton campus and Microsoft Teams. Our Filton campus is located in South Gloucestershire which is easily accessible from the city of Bristol, by train (Bristol Parkway / Bristol Abbey Wood) and bus.
You willl build on the knowledge and skills learned at CIPS Level 5, students learn how to demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership skills and find solutions to complex problems.Students will develop transferable workplace skills such as excellent communication and the ability to work in and lead a team. Participants will gain an understanding of different perspectives and theories and will learn how to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate of complex information, concepts and ideas.
Aimed at senior procurement professionals and heads of departments, a Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply is targeted at building strategic direction and advice, in areas such as change management, stakeholder management and team leadership.

Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for Commercial Directors. Chief Procurement Officers, Heads of Procurement, Heads of Sourcing Procurement and Supply Chain Directors.
You will have needed to have achieved the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

From BristolReflecting on my studies to complete CIPS Levels 4 to 6, it's been a tremendous period of growth for me, both personally and professionally.
Whilst the modules are focused on Procurement & Supply the application of what I've learnt across Levels 4 to 6 ranges far beyond the Procurement domain, which has in turn allowed significant wide-ranging benefits to be realised by the business. Personally, I went into CIPS wanting to broaden my horizons without pigeon-holing myself into a narrow discipline. CIPS has absolutely satisfied this, and the breadth of learning has opened doors to me that weren't there before I started my studies.
Whilst the content across Levels 4 to 6 might look daunting, SGS College do an excellent job of structuring the learning to build up the required knowledge across the modules. This approach made it manageable for me, and in turn I was far more likely to pass each exam first time.
Having achieved two promotions over the 3-year timeframe to complete Levels 4 to 6, I can happily say that I've reaped the benefits of the time invested in CIPS. I would heartily recommend studying CIPS with SGS College for to anyone looking to grow themselves professionally.
