Travelling to campus

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our campuses.

Travelling by car

SGS Stroud, Berkeley, WISE, and Filton have FREE student parking if you are a current student and have registered your car. Due to their city centre locations, SGS Clifton and Queens Road do not have a dedicated car park. For additional information, visit our car parking and e-permits page.

Travelling by bike

SGS encourages travel by bike; all our campuses are equipped with bike storage. Bristol was named the UK's first cycle city and is fortunate to have a large integrated cycling network. Use CycleStreets to plan your journey.

Additionally, if you'd like to hire a bike from within Bristol then please visit https://you-well.co.uk/hiring-bikes/#Bristol.

Travelling by train

SGS campuses are located close to national and regional train stations. Use National Rail Enquiries to plan your journey.

  • SGS WISE - Bristol Parkway Station & Bristol Abbeywood Station
  • SGS Stroud - Stroud Station
  • SGS Filton - Bristol Abbeywood Station
  • SGS Queens Road - Clifton Down Train Station & Bristol Temple Meads
  • SGS Berkeley - Cam & Dursley Station

Travelling by bus

SGS campuses are located on major bus routes. Use Traveline to plan your journey.

SGS is pleased to have teamed up with First Bus to provide discounted termly travel in Bristol via their 'Tickets App', making it cheaper to get to College.

First buses stop just a short walk away from all campuses with 5 services to WISE, 8 services to Queens Road, 3 services to Filton, and service 8, which stops right outside the entrance to the Clifton Campus.

With the First Bus termly mTickets, not only do learners get travel to college, but the ticket allows unlimited travel at the evenings and weekends too!

Full details of pricing, downloading the App, routes etc. can be viewed at www.firstgroup.com/sgs

WESTlink
WESTlink is a new type of bus service that operates in the vast majority of the West of England, outside of Bristol and Bath city centres. It runs without a fixed timetable or route and is booked 'on demand' by users through the WESTlink app or by phone.

Passengers can get on or off at existing bus stops (over 1,800) as well as at a number of easy to reach places and then connect to major bus and rail services.

For further details on how to access this service, please visit travelwest.info

Stagecoach
Stagecoach now offers the 'Academic StudentRider' ticket, which is a flexible student bus pass that gives you cheaper travel - pay once and use it as many times as you like throughout the academic year; Stagecoach is also offering Early Bird ticket prices on their academic year tickets. These are available from 1st to 31st August only.
