Summary
This course is designed to help relieve stress and anxiety. You will be guided through meditation where there is a focus on the sensations of breathing and mentally scanning your body to bring awareness to each area.
There are many ways to practice mindfulness, but the overall goal of the mindfulness technique is to achieve a state of alert, by deliberately paying attention to thoughts and sensations, this focused relaxation resets the mind to be in the present moment.
There has been research around mindfulness meditation which shows that after practising, the grey matter in a specific part of your brain which results in stress, gets smaller reducing anxiety.
Some known benefits are that it controls anxiety and reduces stress, promotes your emotional health and increases self awareness. This focused technique can lengthen attention spams and could even reduce age related memory loss. Being kind to yourself also triggers kindness to others and adds a dimension to general awareness of others.
