Leadership & Management Apprenticeship - Advanced
This qualification is designed for new and aspiring junior managers. Learners will pick up the core skills and understanding needed to deal with management responsibilities and develop as leaders, helping to start their career with confidence.
Duration and structure
The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete. Apprentices are required to complete their training within the workplace, where an assessor will visit them and support their progress through on-site assessment. An element of college attendance may be required which will be discussed with the assessor on induction.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this area.
All apprentices are required to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The employer is responsible for the employment of the apprentice as with any other employees.
What will an apprentice study?
This is a combined qualification which means the knowledge and competence elements are assessed together.
Maths, English and ICT at level 2. Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR), Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PTLS).
On completion of the level 3 and with the correct level of employer support, learners can progress onto a Management qualification such as the Leadership and Management (ILM).
