CIPS are the leading body representing the field of purchasing and supply chain management. Established in 1932, they have grown to become the central reference for industry best practice, with their code of conduct being the standard around the world. In 1992 they were awarded a Royal Charter in recognition of their status as a centre of excellence and support for the profession.
We have successfully offered the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) qualifications for Fifteen years and have been awarded the Centre of Excellence accolade for the last 7 years.
What will I learn?
The Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Purchasing & Supply consists of five individual modules; Management in the procurement & Supply, Managing Risks in Supply Chains, Improving the Competitiveness of Supply Chains, Category Management in Procurement & Supply and Operations Management in Supply Chains. Modules are studied on an individual basis followed by examination.
How will I learn?
Assessment for each module is carried out through examination. Each module includes 35 hours of lectures, CIPS also recommend 80 hours of self study per module with the course book and materials provided for each module. Classroom session include a range of taught session, group work, activities and group discussions.
What are the entry requirements?
Successful completion of the CIPS Diploma in Purchasing & Supply or equivalent, students also need to be a registered student member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS). Please visit www.cips.org or call CIPS direct on 01780756777 for further information on application.
What else do I need to know?
It is the student's responsibility to arrange and book the relevant examination direct through CIPS; enrolment/booking forms are available from www.cips.org.
Each block release module runs for 5 weeks at SGS Filton Campus.
What can I do next?
Progression onto the Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply level 6.
Payment plans are available for course fees over £150; 3 month instalment plans are available for courses which run for 6 months or more and 6 month direct debit payment plans are available for courses which run for 9 months or more, there will be a one off payment of £15.00 for these facilities.
