About the course
The CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma comprises seven modules evaluating elements of procurement practice and business theory. The module covered in this schedule is: L6M4 - Strategic procurement and supply leaders require knowledge of the present challenges for their function and profession, and prepare themselves for the future strategic challenges that they will undoubtedly face. On completion of this module, learners will be able to evaluate the changing needs and requirements for the procurement and supply function and assess the future challenges for the profession.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
Modules 1,2,3 each culminate in a 3-hour essay exam. Module 4 is assessed by a 2-hour essay exam based on a research theme published a month before the exam. The other modules each finish with a 90-minute multiple-choice style exam. Candidates will need to join CIPS as student members to be allowed to sit the exams. Classes are delivered one-day per week, on Wednesdays, through a combination of on-line and on-site delivery at the Filton campus. These are also streamed via Teams and recorded.
What do I need to join (Entry Requirements)
The study level is equivalent to honours degree studies and is suitable for those already in the Procurement industry, ideally, already holding the Level 5 Diploma. Whilst it is permissible to begin studying towards Level 6 before completing Level 5, CIPS will only acknowledge achievement at Level 6 when ALL Level 4 and 5 modules are already successfully completed.
