Introduction
The SGS WISE Campus boasts some of the premier sports facilities in South Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. It serves as the daytime hub for our SGS Sports Academies, offering programs in Football, Rugby, American Football, Netball, and Basketball. In the evenings and on weekends, the campus transforms into a dynamic sports venue, utilized by various professional clubs and commercial partners. It is currently the home of Super League Basketball team, The Bristol Flyers, as well as the Bristol City Women's FC Professional Game Academy and Emerging Talent Centre, and was previously the base for the BCWFC 1st team squad. Additionally, the campus hosts the Bristol Bears Academy in the evenings and is used by top non-league clubs like Old Redcliffians RFC, Bath City FC, Mangotsfield United FC, and Yate Town FC. Over the years, it has welcomed high-profile international teams such as Canada Rugby, Georgia Rugby, The Barbarians, South Africa Rugby, England Red Roses, Rugby Australia, Canterbury Crusaders, Vodacom Bulls as well as top football teams like Norwich City FC and Bristol Rovers FC.
Rugby Stadium Pitch
The Rugby Stadium pitch at SGS WISE Campus is renowned for being one of the finest rugby surfaces in South Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. In recent years, it has hosted elite teams such as the Barbarians, Vodacom Bulls, and South Africa, showcasing its top-tier quality. The pitch serves as the home venue for the SGS Sport ACE squad and features a specialist TV gantry for live streaming and performance analysis. Additionally, it offers seating for 150 spectators and a fully fenced touchline for enhanced safety and viewing experience.
Football Stadium Pitch
The Football Stadium Pitch at SGS WISE Campus features a 3G surface suitable for both training and matches. It is RFU and FIFA approved with a shock pad for enhanced safety and performance. The pitch is frequently used by prominent non-league teams such as Bath City, Mangotsfield United, and Yate Town FC. With seating for 100 spectators, it also serves as the home ground for the college's elite teams, hosting matches on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Whilst being marked out for football, this pitch can also be used for other contact sports including Football, Rugby, and American Football.
American Football Gridiron
The SGS WISE American Football Gridiron is the only dedicated 3G American Football surface in the UK, featuring fully stitched-in markings for the sport, making it an elite venue for American Football. Situated within the SGS Athletics Track, the gridiron also offers specialist stands and spectator access. While designed primarily for American Football, the pitch is versatile and can also be used for Football and Rugby. It currently serves as the training venue for the Bristol Bears Academy teams.
Indoor Sports Hall
The SGS Sports Hall is versatile and accommodates a range of activities, including Netball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Futsal, and Handball. This double sports hall can be divided into two separate spaces to host multiple activities simultaneously. It also features bleacher seating for up to 500 spectators with additional seating provided to 750, which is frequently filled to capacity during the sell-out games of the Bristol Flyers.
Indoor Astro
The Indoor Astroturf at the SGS WISE campus features a 60x40 meter 3G surface, which can be split into two 30x40 meter sections. It is ideal for football and rugby, having been regularly used by the Bristol City Academy for their Category 2 Academy training. Additionally, half of the indoor AstroTurf is utilized as an indoor driving range, serving the SGS Golf Academy over the years.
Grass Pitches
The SGS WISE Campus features several high-quality grass pitches available for use by local sports clubs. These include two football pitches and a rugby pitch, both regularly utilized by academy teams. The rugby pitch, originally constructed for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and the football pitches, which have been used over the years by Bristol Rovers and Bristol City Academy teams, offer top-tier playing surfaces ideal for competitive and training purposes.
Olympic-sized Athletics Track
The SGS WISE Campus boasts an eight-lane Olympic-standard track, offering a world-class facility for athletes and clubs. This athletics track also includes dedicated areas for all jumping events, such as long jump, high jump, and triple jump. Over the years, it has been utilized by various partners, including Thornbury Runners, UWE, Avon Athletics, and North Somerset Runners. In addition to serving as a specialist athletics facility, the track provides opportunities for other sports to use the space for testing and athletic development.
Strength and Conditioning Gym
SGS Sport has one of the leading strength and conditioning gyms in the local area. Many clubs combine pitch sessions with this fantastic surface. The 40-station gym, equipped with a weights room and human performance lab, supports athletes and individuals looking to enhance their physical performance. Please note that due to the nature of the facilities in the gym, access to the gym requires individuals that are suitably qualified and insured.
12 Five-a-side Football Pitches
The SGS WISE Campus is also home to 12 five-a-side pitches managed by Goals. These pitches can be booked directly through their website at Goals Bristol North.
Car Parking
Car parking is available at the SGS WISE Campus, offering 176 pay-and-display spaces onsite. For larger events, additional parking can be arranged at Abbeywood School, which provides up to 400 spaces (subject to availability and additional charges). For large-scale events, the Aviva car park can be booked to accommodate up to 3,000 vehicles.

SGS WISE is the ideal venue for all types of events, from small workshops to large conferences, theatre performances to outdoor sporting competitions. It is conveniently located close to major transport links, with excellent motorway access and on-site parking. WISE is the ideal location for both national and local events. We have a wide variety of rooms available to rent, including classrooms, dance and rehearsal studios, indoor and outdoor football pitches, a sports hall and the Olympus and Studio Theatres.

- American Football Match 4 hrs @ £600 to include 4 changing rooms.
- All other hire facilities to include at least 2 changing rooms.
- Other than sports hall, NO HALF pitch or facility are hired.
