The Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) Level 3 (SCQF Level 6) was developed by APM who are the chartered body for the project profession which offers a fundamental awareness of project management terminology. It is for those wishing to gain a broad understanding of the principles of the profession. No prior knowledge or experience is required for this qualification, which will offer the individual the knowledge to make a positive contribution to any project. During the course, candidates will cover a range of units including the following; Project management & the operating environment, Project life cycle, Management structures by which projects operate, Project management planning, Scope management, Scheduling and resource management, Risk management and issue management, Project equality management, Communication, Leadership and teamwork The Association for Project Management, the chartered body for the project profession, is committed to developing and promoting project and programme management through its FIVE Dimensions of Professionalism. In 2017, APM was awarded a Royal Charter as part of its strategy to raise awareness and standards in the profession. The award-winning association has over 30,000 individual members and more than 500 organisations participating in the Corporate Partnership Programme making it the largest professional body of its kind in Europe. The APM PFQ assesses the key elements of the project management life cycle and covers knowledge areas from the APM Body of Knowledge, including planning and scheduling, communication, teamwork, resource management, project risk management and project reviews.
What do I need to join?
Candidates require a level 2 in Maths & English (A to C Grade GCSE or equivalent), and a good standard of general education. A successful interview and assessment will be required prior to enrolling.Apply for this course
