Summary
On this Intermediate Ceramics course you will have the opportunity to be self-directed in your chosen path of enquiry, with support and challenges from our experienced tutor. You will be encouraged to further progress your skills and knowledge by working through technical problems with the advice of your tutor. Historical and contemporary influences are advised for ‘homework’, supported by the wide selection of specialist books and magazines found in the library and classroom. You will also have access to electric kilns for earthenware and gas-fired kilns for stoneware, plus a termly raku firing.
How will I learn?
This course is based at our Stroud Campus in the centre of Gloucestershire, surrounded by the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Campus is moments away from Stroud train station and easily accessible by bus.

Entry Requirements
Some previous experience is required for the intermediate classes as much of the work is self directed and experimentation is encouraged. This can be from our beginners class or experience from elsewhere. Please check with us if you are not sure.
