The Preparation for Life department offers a range of courses where students learn employability, independent living and personal and social development skills. Our facility boasts an independent living kitchen with training flat and access to inclusive digital media and art facilities. All students follow a curriculum aligned with the Preparing for Adulthood government agenda, with clear progression routes for all students, leading to further courses, independent living, supported internships or employment (paid or voluntary). Ascentis Employability qualification based on Entry L1 up L2, depending on learner ability.
Ascentis qualification to develop independent living skills from pre-entry to Entry L3.
Ascentis Entry L3 to L2 in Personal Development.
Ascentis in preparing or developing skills for employment from Entry L1 to L1.
To be eligible for this course you must have an EHCP and a substantial part of this course is work experience.
