We are a family business and not confined to a rigid structure, if someone is doing well, they will receive the rewards they are due.
Once the apprentice has finished with apprenticeship and completed their first year with us, they will receive a £3000 thank you bonus.
We would hope that if someone starts with us at 17, by the time they reach 21, as an engineer they should be on excess of £20,000 and once becoming a grade 1 engineer they would be on over £30,000 per annum.
As an additional benefit, CIA operate a pension scheme which upon qualifying sees the company pay an additional contribution based on the government guidelines.
Being or becoming a driver is an essential part of being an engineer, as you will eventually be required to drive the company vehicles to job sites etc. Should you join our apprenticeship programme and be learning to drive, the company will contribute 20 hours’ worth of lessons to anyone over the age of 17 and a half. *Subject to conditions.
The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £5.28 an hour from April 2023. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20-year olds; £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.83 for those over 25.
