National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs Championship Finals

SGS AASE Boxer Elizabeth Bools booked herself a place in the National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs Championship finals with a TKO win over Claire Gillham of St. Marys Boxing Club Kent.

Sustained pressure boxing from Elizabeth saw the referee issue standing counts to the game Kent girl in every round before halting proceedings in the third round.

Elizabeth from Trowbridge Boxing Club said: "I am really excited at the prospect of winning my second title, and can't wait for next Friday."

Joining Elizabeth in Bridlington for Friday's final is fellow SGS boxer Nicole Flourentzou.

Nichole who has walked through into the final, has competed in Ireland and won England Boxings chairman's cup tournament so far this season.

Nichole aged 18 from Downend Boxing Club said: "I am really please to be in the final.  I would have preferred to box however, it's the same for lots of female competitors throughout the country."

SGS Head of Boxing Craig Turner commented: "The West of England is very well represented in the championship finals.  I am pleased and proud of how all of the guys performed and look forward to seeing their progress in the England Boxing National championships in the new year."
