About the course

This course includes 3 main elements:

1. Foundation National Technical Outcomes:
   1. Outcome 1 Apply knowledge and understanding of scientific theories, concepts and principles to health and science contexts
   2. Outcome 2A. Provide person centred care to support the health and wellbeing of individuals
   3. Outcome 3. Analyse information and data to highlight health and science issues
2. The Level 2 NCFE Technical Award in Health and Social Care
   1. Content area 1: Health and social care provision and services
   2. Content area 2: Job roles in health and social care and the care values that underpin professional practice
   3. Content area 3: Legislation, policies and procedures in health and social care
   4. Content area 4: Human development across the life span
   5. Content area 5: The care needs of the individual
   6. Content area 6: How health and social care services are accessed
   7. Content area 7: Partnership working in health and social care
   8. Content area 8: The care planning cycle

Foundation Route Based Project

You will work with your employer (at work placement) to design an activity to enhance the lives of people who use the service. You will then present your work near the end of the academic year.
