DFN Project Search: Your Future at Amazon BRS1

Based at the Amazon BRS1 fulfilment centre, this programme offers you the chance to be fully immersed in a professional workplace on a full-time basis. You will be supported every step of the way by an onsite teacher and a dedicated job coach to help you transition from education into the workplace.

What is DFN Project Search?

Project Search is an international programme that started in Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio, USA almost 30 years ago. It was created to support young people with learning disabilities transition from education into the workplace with the added benefit of a teacher and a job coach.

There are more than 500 Project Search programmes worldwide, with more than 100 sites in the UK and Europe. Each programme works on the original model created in the US, consisting of a Host business, an Educator, and a Supported Employment Service.

Proven Success Rates

  • Nationally, only 4.8% of people with SEND gain permanent paid employment in the UK.
  • 70% of our graduates gain jobs.
  • Up to 60% of them go on to full-time permanent roles.
  • Our evidence-based model challenges misconceptions and helps young adults reach their full potential through employment.
