About the course

The Level 2 Travel and Tourism programme is designed for learners who want to develop a solid understanding of the tourism industry while gaining the skills needed to progress to the next level of study or start a career in this exciting sector. This course provides practical insights into how the travel and tourism industry operates, from customer service to tourism management.
Course content

- U.K Travel and Tourism Destinations
- The Development of Travel and Tourism
- Travel and Tourism Business Environments (Externally Assessed)
Maths & English
A key requirement for future progression and employment is a good understanding and application of knowledge and skills in both English and maths.
Learners who are enrolled on this course will also, as part of their overall programme of study, be enrolled on GCSE English and Maths in order to progress towards gaining GCSE grade 4 in both subjects.
What do I need to join
You will need four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, with English Language and Maths being essential.
What can I do next
The aim of the L2 First Certificate in Travel and Tourism is that upon successful completion, learners are able to progress onto the L3 programme of their choice. After successful completion of their L3 Qualification, learners could enter a skilled occupation or choose to continue their studies through an Apprenticeship, a Higher Technical Qualification, or a Higher Education Course
