Community Partnership Events Assistant

FTE Salary: up to £25,572.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting role of a Community Partnerships Events Assistant within our Community Partnerships team!

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and on-the-day delivery of SGS's community and employer events, including open days, employer showcases, festivals and community celebrations.
  • Help set up and break down event spaces, including furniture, signage, equipment and catering, ensuring venues are ready and presentable.
  • Welcome and support visitors, employers and community partners on the day, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.
  • Support marketing and promotion of events, including distributing materials, updating event listings and helping capture photos/content for social media.
  • Carry out basic administrative tasks linked to partnership and events activity, such as processing enquiries, bookings and attendee lists.
  • Support the collection of feedback and evaluation data after events to help inform future planning.
  • Respond to day-to-day enquiries from community groups, employers and members of the public wishing to engage with or use SGS facilities.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths & English grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Relevant qualification in events, hospitality, customer service or a related field
  • Experience in a customer-facing, hospitality, retail or events environment
  • Experience helping to organise or support events, activities or functions
  • Experience using booking, scheduling or database systems
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, the Further Education sector
