Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 6th July 2026  
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting role of Business and Travel lecturer within our Business and Travel team!

SGS College have an exciting opportunity for a Business and Travel Lecturer at our Filton campus. We currently have a vacancy for someone to join our well-established, active and supportive Business and Travel Team.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high quality teaching in line with our curriculum and awarding bodies to a variety of Business and Travel units on our, Level 1 Level 2 and Level 3 study programmes
  • Support learners academic and personal development promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
  • Assess learner work and provide timely constructive feedback to support progress and achievement
  • Embed English, Maths, Digital Skills, safeguarding, equality and diversity within teaching practice.
  • Monitor and record learner attendance, progress and achievement using our systems
  • Prepare learners for assessments, examinations and external verification.

 

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should ideally have a business or travel related qualification and experience of working within the business or travel sector.
  • A relevant teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, candidates with a range of industry experience will be considered and there will be the opportunity to work towards gaining a teaching qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, forward thinking, dynamic, resilient, and inspiring. 
  • Make a positive contribution to young people’s lives, supporting and encouraging learners in their further education journey and developing their key employability skills.
