We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer to deliver a range of Level 1, 2 and 3 Digital Skills courses for adults looking to retrain or change careers. The role will involve teaching a variety of short courses, including basic digital skills, computer programming, web design and cybersecurity, helping learners develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to progress into further study or employment within the digital sector.

The post holder should have a good knowledge of digital skills and/or ICT and be comfortable operating in our new look digital suites and conventional classrooms. Experience in further education is not essential.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• To undertake all forms of pedagogic work which include but are not limited to classroom teaching, tutorial work, associated outreach duties, open and distance learning courses and student placements.
• To ensure the associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking is undertaken.
• To undertake an annual teaching workload of contact hours for category ‘A’ duties of 828 maximum to 761 minimum (pro rata for part-time) as detailed in the College workload agreement.
• To conduct curriculum development work including identification of consumer requirements, planning, development and evaluation of courses and course materials.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent or have substantial relevant subject experience.
• PGCE or qualified teacher status
• Possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Working within a HE/FE environment
