This course is based at our WISE campus, located in South Gloucestershire which is easily accessible from the city of Bristol by train (Bristol Parkway / Bristol Abbey Wood) and bus. The course is run out of our state-of-the-art specialist media education centre, the Brunel building.

Course content

This hands-on course gives you the chance to explore a wide range of creative media projects. You’ll build skills in:

  • Short Film Production – Plan, film and edit your own scenes, learning how to use professional camera and editing equipment.
  • Animation & Digital Media – Experiment with stop motion and simple digital animation techniques to create your own moving images.
  • Games Design & Publishing – Design characters, levels and covers for your own 2D game ideas, learning how storytelling and visual design bring games to life.
  • Creative Projects – Explore art, photography and design to develop your own design pallet and photograph the final result.

Across these projects, you’ll learn how to develop ideas, carry out research, use industry tools, and present your work. The focus is on creativity, problem solving and gaining confidence through practical, project-based learning.
