This one-year part-time course is designed for individuals looking to change careers or develop an interest in becoming a bricklayer. As a fundamental part of the wider construction team, bricklayers are essential in building houses, hospitals, and industrial buildings. You will study the following mandatory units: Health and Safety Principles of construction Build Solid Walling's, isolated and attached piers Interpret drawing to set out masonry structures Construct cavity walling

Your progress will be continuously assessed through practical tasks and regular discussions with your tutor to ensure your development aligns with expected outcomes and target grades.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
