Summary

Craft Carpentry and Joinery apprentices will benefit from high-quality teaching and learning from industry experts, outstanding workshops, and facilities, as well as comprehensive classroom and workshop study programmes. There are two distinct pathways available in this course: the Site Joinery Pathway, delivered at the Horizon 38 campus, and the Architectural Joinery Pathway, delivered at the Stroud campus. Apprentices will benefit from high quality teaching and learning from industry experts, outstanding workshops and facilities and classroom and workshop study programmes. The Level 3 qualification will include topics such as; utilising a range of advanced trade skills, installing complex and non-standard doors and window frames, shaped door and hatch linings, partitions with openings, installing accessible service encasements, bespoke wall and floor units and fitments, pannelling and stair components, erect incclined roofs with gables, roof verges and eaves, repair or replace frames, mouldings, floor or flat roof joist coverings, door and window ironmongery, wondow compnenets, structural joists and rafters.

Maths & english
This apprenticeship requires learners to achieve maths and English at Level 2. At interview, we will carry out an assessment to determine current literacy and numeracy levels. We will take account of any support needs in determining the suitability of learners for this apprenticeship.
