SGS College welcomed a visit to its Stroud campus on Friday 27 March, where the itinerary included tours of the Stroud School of Art, SGS Create, and the Construction department.

During the visit, our Principal and CEO, David Withey, met to discuss key topics affecting the Further Education (FE) sector. Conversations focused on the important role FE plays in supporting local skills development, as well as the ongoing impact of college reclassification on institutions nationwide.

The campus tour provided an opportunity to showcase the breadth of creative and technical education delivered at SGS Stroud. Staff and learners shared insights into their work across art, design, media, and construction, highlighting the high-quality learning environments and industry-relevant pathways available to learners.

David Withey, Principal & CEO, said:

"It was great to welcome Sir Geoffrey to SGS Stroud and show him how we are ensuring his constituents in North Cotswolds are getting ready for the future. Our students really enjoyed talking about their work and their plans for future careers in industries from construction to photography."

SGS College remains committed to engaging with sector partners to ensure that the needs of students, employers, and the wider community continue to shape the future of Further Education.
