NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Creating a Business Start-Up is designed for individuals who want to develop the essential skills and knowledge needed to start their own business. This qualification consists of four key units:

Initial Steps for a Business Start-Up – Learn how to identify a viable business idea, understand the importance of market research, and assess the potential risks and rewards of starting a business.

Marketing for a Business Start-Up – Gain an understanding of branding, promotional strategies, and effective marketing techniques to attract customers and grow your business.

Legal and Financial Considerations for a Business Start-Up – Explore the legal responsibilities, financial planning, tax obligations, and funding options essential for setting up and running a business.

Developing a Business Plan – Create a comprehensive business plan outlining your objectives, strategies, financial projections, and operational plans to support long-term success.

This course is ideal for aspiring entrepreneurs, freelancers, and anyone interested in self-employment. By the end of the programme, you will have a strong foundation to confidently start and manage your own business.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

Studying via distance learning means you can choose when and where you study, giving you the freedom to choose your learning schedule yourself whilst still gaining certification for your chosen subject.

We recommend spending a minimum of 2-4 hours per week on this course and we recommend completing within 12 weeks.
