About the course

Whether you are writing to get published or just for fun, this ten-week course takes an innovative approach to writing poetry and fiction by making the familiar strange and educating the imagination through a play with words.

We explore the boundaries of writing to construct unique pieces of work that focus on contemporary poetry and the short story form.

Weekly sessions aim to develop confidence in writing and reading your work aloud, as well as providing the necessary feedback to your peers in a supportive and constructive way.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

This course is run through a series of live workshops and feedback sessions, where you will work both individually and as a group and you will have the opportunity to share your work in class.

Weekly sessions will be supported by reading material that draws from a diverse community of writers.
