This Art History course is an engaging introduction to a range of artists and artworks from across history, explored through themed sessions that bring the subject to life. Course content

This term, you will focus on 17th Century Dutch Art, a fascinating period of prosperity, discovery, and artistic brilliance. Over 10 sessions, you will explore:

  • The work of celebrated artists such as Rembrandt, Rachel Ruysch, Judith Leyster, and Vermeer

  • How art reflected wider themes of science, society, and trade during this transformative period
