Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work
  • Set up activities to welcome the children, that are fun, and in line with planning
  • Risk assess play room and garden, to make sure safe for children to arrive
  • Meet and greet parents/children, being welcoming and friendly
  • Follow policies and procedures at all time, promoting positive behaviour, in line with our policy
  • Engage in activities with the children, expanding on their exsisting knowledge
  • Work as part of a small, close knit team, to complete daily tasks, such as circle time, snack and lunch
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times

<p>Small, village playgroup, that prides itself in the happiness of the children and staff. Numbers kept lower than ratio's to allow for time, and a calmer play environment. Open term time 9am-3pm, on the local primary school site. Small, close knit team, who all enjoy getting stuck in with the children.</p>


After this apprenticeship

  • To work in early years, as a fully, competent early years educator. With potential to progress to room leader, SENCO, or Deputy Safeguarding Lead
