Course content

Whether you're a beginner or an advanced runner, this programme will help you elevate your fitness and take your running performance to the next level. You will explore theoretical modules on topics such as Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition for Runners, and Data for Performance.

You'll learn how to use and interpret running data and create a personalised fitness plan to achieve your running goals. You will have the opportunity to practice and apply the key concepts you learn through practical running sessions.

The practical sessions are designed to expose you to new training methods that you may not have experienced previously. Practical sessions will be held locally to GL11 6AJ, therefore a willingness to travel on a bi-weekly basis is required.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

You will remotely complete a series of short online learning modules and accompanying workbooks to develop your knowledge and understanding of running performance. These can be completed at your own pace, allowing you to fit your learning around your schedule.

The course is designed for flexibility, so you can progress through the content at a pace that suits you, while building a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge.

Assessment will be based on your completion of the workbooks, and practical application of the skills and concepts you’ve learned.
