Discover your passion for creative hairdressing and fast-track your career with our Level 2 Fast-Track Hairdressing course. Whether you're an adult learner eager to enter the industry or seeking a fulfilling career change, this fast-paced part-time course is designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge. Over the span of 30 weeks, you will receive comprehensive training one day a week 9.30-2.30pm, with an additional evening session 4-8pm. Immerse yourself in a wide range of creative hair techniques, including Shampooing Conditioning treatments Blow drying Cutting Colouring (including foiling) Plaiting Twisting Client consultation Salon reception Health and safety protocols.
How will I learn?
Throughout the course, you'll enhance your employability skills by practicing on peers before delivering services to paying clients. Assessment will be ongoing, utilizing a variety of methods such as written assignments, online tests, practical assessments with paying clients, oral questioning, and building a comprehensive portfolio of evidence.
Entry Requirements
We welcome individuals aged 19 and over with a mature and focused approach to learning, as well as strong interpersonal skills. While ideally, three grade 3 (D) GCSEs including English Language are preferred, we also consider applicants who can demonstrate the ability to work at the required level. To excel in the course, commit at least 4 hours per week to independent study and practice your practical skills at home. You'll need to purchase a kit and uniform before your first day to ensure you're fully prepared for hands-on learning. Enrolment acceptance is subject to attendance at an adult information/interview day with the tutor, providing you with personalized guidance and support.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
