This is a one-day introduction to Kiln fired Stained Glass Painting using silver stains (yellow and amber) and coloured enamels, transparent and opaque to enhance your Stained Glass projects. It is the perfect introduction to glass painting with silver stain and enamel and is ideal if you are a beginner or if you are looking to expand your Stained Glass skills You will learn the techniques: Different types of products. How to mix glass silver stain and enamels with different mediums. Brush work, application and blending techniques. Different types of glass suitable for staining and enamels Health and safety, firing temperatures and setting up the kiln will also be covered.
How will I learn?
You will learn through demonstrations and practice with plenty of one-to-one support from the tutor.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age at the start of the academic year. Ideal for beginners and those wanting to develop their skills.
Additional Information
This course includes materials. Students attending the tracing and Shading workshop can work on top of tracing and shading samples. There will be plenty to time for experimentation and practise. Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
