Summary

Drive business improvement and digital change with confidence. This apprenticeship equips learners with the skills to understand how organisations work, streamline processes, and deliver impactful change.

Over 18 months, plus a 3-month End Point Assessment, apprentices gain the knowledge and behaviours to support real business improvement projects and engage effectively with stakeholders. From problem-solving and data handling to communication and process analysis, apprentices develop the tools to work seamlessly across teams—technical and non-technical alike.

For employers, this means fresh talent ready to identify opportunities, support change, and make a measurable difference to business performance.

What do I need to join

To ensure apprentices meet the maths and English Level 2 requirements, we provide Functional Skills lessons offered alongside the apprenticeship to learners who have not yet achieved a Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

At interview, current literacy and numeracy levels are assessed to determine suitability and identify any support needs.

Learners aged 19 and over at the point of enrolment are not required to complete Functional Skills qualifications but will be supported should they wish.

Career opportunities

On completion, apprentices achieve the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship Standard, opening the door to a wide range of roles in business change, digital transformation and process improvement.

The programme includes a final End Point Assessment (EPA) in the last three months, where apprentices demonstrate their skills through a project proposal presentation with questioning and a professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence. Assessment is delivered by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, ensuring industry-recognised quality and standards.

This apprenticeship also aligns with RITTech professional recognition (Level 4), supporting progression within the IT and business analysis profession. Graduates can progress into roles such as Business Analyst, Junior Consultant, Process Improvement Analyst or Project Support Officer, with further opportunities to advance into senior analysis, project management or digital leadership roles.
