Equipping students to succeed in a rapidly changing society, building on our strong reputation, resources, and partnerships.
Transform productivity with AI and automation.
This apprenticeship develops the skills needed to drive efficiency, streamline processes and support digital transformation through the safe and responsible use of AI and automation. Delivered over 18 months, it equips apprentices to analyse workflows, identify improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions in the workplace.
Apprentices gain hands-on experience with digital tools, automation platforms and AI technologies—enabling them to support innovation, enhance performance and deliver continuous improvement. For employers, this means developing talent that can reduce manual processes, improve operations and help teams confidently adopt new technologies.
To ensure apprentices meet the maths and English Level 2 requirements, we provide Functional Skills lessons offered alongside the apprenticeship to learners who have not yet achieved a Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
At interview, current literacy and numeracy levels are assessed to determine suitability and identify any support needs.
Learners aged 19 and over at the point of enrolment are not required to complete Functional Skills qualifications but will be supported should they wish.
On completion, apprentices will achieve the Level 4 Artificial Intelligence and Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard, providing a strong foundation for a career in digital, data-driven and automation-focused roles. The End Point Assessment is delivered by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, ensuring industry-recognised quality and professional standards.
This apprenticeship opens the door to a wide range of exciting career opportunities, including roles such as AI Automation Technician, Automation Support Specialist, Digital Transformation Assistant, IT and Automation Analyst, Process Automation Coordinator, Digital Operations Technician, and Workflow Solutions Assistant.
With organisations increasingly adopting AI and automation technologies, apprentices will be well placed to progress into roles that support innovation, drive efficiency and enable digital transformation across sectors.
