About the course
The Foundation Employability programme is designed to equip you with essential personal and work-related skills that will support your progress into volunteering, supported employment or an apprenticeship. You will work towards a relevant qualification that focuses on employability by building knowledge, behaviour and practical skills. The course includes opportunities to practice and develop key life skills, such as English and maths, while also addressing your individual needs through your Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) goals and Preparing for Adulthood outcomes. This tailored approach ensures you are prepared for your next steps, fostering independence and confidence
What do I need to join
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you should have a genuine interest in developing your skills and a desire to progress towards employment.
You will have the opportunity to improve your English and maths skills by working towards a suitable qualification at a level appropriate to your needs.
What can I do next
On completion of the Foundation Employability course, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Supported Internship programme or apprenticeship. This pathway provides additional practical experience and support to help you transition into the workplace effectively.
