About the course

Your children sitting their SAT's can be a daunting time. Maths skills and especially different methods used have evolved over the years, meaning for many of us, we do not feel as confident as we possibly could in helping our children revise. Smash Those SAT's is a 10 week course for parents of KS2 children, who want to develop their own skills ready to help their children. You will take part in fun and engaging activities to help increase your confidence and give your child the best support possible. On completion of the course, we will also pay for you to achieve a Paediatric First Aid course, worth over £100!

How is the course delivered and assessed?
Delivered over 8 weeks, you will attend 8 face to face sessions, and 2 online with your tutor. Your tutor will start by asking you to complete an initial assessment - this will help us understand which level you are currently working at, meaning we can personalise your learning. There are no formal exams or assessments for this course, it is all about learning to love maths again and being able to help you child(ren) when the time comes!
What can I do next
This is not a formal qualification and therefore you do not have to sit an exam or assessment. However, we will encourage you to keep your learning going! We have a range of options from entry level through to GCSE maths for you to continue your journey.
Additional information
Learners must be aged 19+ and not currently hold a GCSE grade C or above. Upon completion, we will offer you the opportunity to complete a fully funded paediatric first aid course.
