About the course
If you enjoy practical work and want to develop a wide range of trade skills, this course could be the right choice for you. The Level 2 Property Maintenance programme gives you the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to carry out maintenance and repair tasks across different areas of construction.
You’ll build confidence working with tools and materials while developing the skills needed to progress into further study, apprenticeships, or employment in the property maintenance and construction industries.
Course content
You’ll gain experience across a range of trades, helping you become a multi-skilled operative. Throughout the course, you will:
- Develop practical skills in areas such as basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, and repairs
- Learn how to carry out property maintenance tasks safely and
effectively
Understand health and safety within construction and maintenance environments - Build knowledge of tools, materials, and maintenance techniques
Develop skills in problem-solving and completing tasks to a professional standard
This broad approach helps you understand different trades and prepares you for a variety of roles within the industry.
What do I need to join
- An interest in practical work and property maintenance
- GCSEs at grade 3 or above in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards these)
- A positive attitude, good attendance, and commitment to learning new skills
