Our Access to Medicine course includes a supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of mature students. It encompasses delivery of relevant and up-to-date content by experienced teachers; this is a pathway crafted to equip you with the knowledge and skills essential for success in the field of medical related work and study.

Course Structure

Duration: One year from September

Learning Model: Blended - Two days in college, one day online.

Who is this course for: Mature students (19+) seeking to return to education and individuals exploring a career change or a new professional path.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

Key components:

  • Academic subject content: Comprehensive coverage of Biology, Chemistry & Physics, 45 credits graded at pass, merit or distinction.
  • Study Skills: Equipping you with essential study skills. 15 credits to enhance your academic Assignments throughout the academic year

Assessment methodology

Diverse assessment types, including academic essays, tests/exams, reports, and presentations.

What do I need to join (Entry Requirements)
  • Essential: GCSE English Language - C/4 or above or international equivalent.
  • Essential: GCSE Maths – A/6 or above or international equivalent.
  • Essential: GCSE Science - C/4 or above or international equivalent.
