This is a good opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in painting and decorating for a well-respected, local employer. You will need a keen interest in this subject to be successful. Working in domestic and commercial properties and undertaking the decoration and protection of buildings.
£16,640 a year

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday- 8am to 5pm. Half hour break at 10am and 1pm.
£6.25 apprentice rate (16-18yrs)/19+ to be discussed.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
This role involves working closely with a supervisor and following guidance to complete tasks to a high standard.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Successful candidates will work towards industry training standards, including SVQ/NVQ Painter and Decorator Level 2 qualification. Your training will be enhanced through the provision of additional in-company training and support from a student mentor and team.
College attendance will be block release 1 in 5/6 weeks.
You will receive a basic tool kit and all workwear and PPE kit will be provided.
GCSE in:

Having the right attitude, work ethic and commitment to your education as well as your employment are essential requirements to this role</li> <li>Must be able to get to pick-up points or meet at place of work, so need to consider travel to and from work </li> </ul>

A full-time and permanent position will be discussed on the successful completion of the apprenticeship. Long-term position with a highly reputable company for the right candidate.
