Summary
The course offers an exciting opportunity to explore the interdisciplinary nature of fashion and textiles at degree level. Our focus is on expanding creative thinking whilst developing the necessary technical skills for employment in the industry. A wide range of fashion and textiles techniques are introduced throughout the course. Students are encouraged to identify their own creative style through the increasingly skilled use of the techniques they select for further development. The course is delivered through a range of live projects, workshops, seminars and visits. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and become increasingly independent, assisted by exceptional levels of support. All lecturers are either practicing artists, designers or researchers, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to their teaching. Bristol is one of the UK’s leading creative cities. Our Foundation Degree in Fashion and Textiles will offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in this vibrant city and in the progressive nature of the fashion and textiles industries.
What do I need to join?
64 UCAS tariff points. You will be required to attend an interview, where you will present a digital or paper-based portfolio. Mature students over 21 will be required to demonstrate professional/creative experience and evidence of academic ability.
