Tuition Fees

16-18

Between the ages of 16-18 you do not need to pay tuition or exam fees for your course.

19-23

If you are between the ages of 19 and 23 and have not achieved a full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification before, then you may be entitled to a Legal Entitlement to cover the cost of your tuition, exam and material fees.

19+ (English or Maths Course etc.)

If you are 19 or over and taking an English or Maths course up to an including Level 2, and have not previously achieved a GCSE Grade A* to C or grade 4 or higher, then you may be entitled to a Legal Entitlement to cover the cost of your tuition, exam and material fees.

19+ (Level 2 Course or Below etc.)

If you are aged 19 or over and studying a level 2 course or below, you may be entitled to a Low Income/Benefit Waiver. If awarded, this Waiver will cover your tuition, exam and material fees.

19+ (Level 3 Course or Above etc.)

If you are aged 19 or over and studying on a level 3 course or above, and the Level 3 Legal Entitlement does not apply, you will need to pay the full cost of the course. You may however be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the tuition fees.

Please make arrangements to pay your course fee costs at the time of enrolment. Payment is due prior to the start of your course. The option to pay via an instalment plan is available if required. Please contact the College directly for the most up to date course fees – these may be subject to change.

Summary

The Drama and Performance programme is made up of two parts: the FdA in Drama and Performance, followed by the Level 6 BA (Hons) Top-Up Drama and Performance. You can choose to complete the whole three years with us. This structure allows maximum flexibility for you to achieve a qualification after two years, or you can even join us from another institute for your final year. With a strong emphasis on devising and working within professional and community settings, this dynamic course puts collaboration with real-life partners at its core. The team are all experienced professional practitioners, currently active in the industry. The course provides you with the opportunity to develop excellent practical performance skills and the discipline, self-confidence and communication skills required to thrive in an increasingly competitive industry. Through intensive performance training and professional performance opportunities, we build up your practical and industry knowledge to prepare you fully for work, whether you see yourself as a performer, director, workshop leader or working in the creative sector.

What do I need to join?

Year 3 (BA) – successful completion of an FdA/HND in a relevant subject. Entry via a successful interview and audition. Mature students – English C/4. Mature students over 21 without the relevant qualifications will be required to demonstrate previous performance experience and evidence of academic ability.

What are my career options?

Professional performer, director, touring theatre producer, event and entertainment manager, teacher/lecturer, arts/creative coordinator, theatrical agent.
