Summary
This exciting and innovative degree is designed to give students the specialist and varied skills required to make a career in TV & Film within the thriving creative industries. The creative industries is the fastest growing part of the UK’s economy, and plays a significant role in unlocking innovation and growth in other sectors too. The programme focuses on practical, digital design and physical workshop roles, of creating prosthetics and modelmaking techniques to create physical pieces for display/use of make-up applications. This programme consists of evolving techniques and tools which will offer students an insight and understanding into industry requirements.The degree merges practical traditional crafts with digital applications to support practical outcomes. A blend of techniques will be taught for example, photogrammetry to capture a 3D image of a person to creating a 3D printed head cast. Students will be encouraged to take an innovative, explorative and technical approach to their prosthetics application design work. *Subject to Validation
Entry Requirements
64 points UCAS points derived from level 3 qualifications GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above or equivalent qualification. Mature Students (over 21) who do not meet the standard entry requirements will be considered on an individual basis.
