The FdA Media Production course is designed to help our students become employable in a number of ways. A core part of the course involves helping students to establish themselves as freelancers so that they can generate and complete paid commissions, but students are also encouraged to develop an impressive portfolio and to work to professional standards (in terms of their punctuality and ability to meet deadlines). Media practice requires a great deal of self-motivation, resilience and professionalism, and our course encourages these qualities and many more.
Our students take advantage of the richness of the UK creative industries and complete a work experience placement as part of their second year of study. This placement lets students experience the reality of working in a fast-paced and exciting industry, and the challenges that come with it. We encourage all of our students to work on a freelance basis, and aid them in establishing their brand and working alongside clients on paid commissions.
What are my career options?
