Summary
The Drama and Performance programme is made up of two parts: the FdA in Drama and Performance, followed by the Level 6 BA (Hons) Top-up Drama and Performance. You can choose to complete the whole three years with us. This structure allows maximum flexibility for you to achieve a qualification after two years, or you can even join us from another institute for your final year. With a strong emphasis on devising and working within professional and community settings, this dynamic course puts collaboration with real-life partners at its core. The team are all experienced professional practitioners currently active in the industry. The course provides you with the opportunity to develop excellent practical performance skills and to develop the discipline, self-confidence and communication skills required to thrive in an increasingly competitive industry. Through intensive performance training and professional performance opportunities, we build up your practical and industry knowledge to prepare you fully for work, whether you see yourself as a performer, director or workshop leader, or working in the creative sector.
What do I need to join?
Years 1 and 2 (FdA) – 96 UCAS points and GCSE Maths and English C/4. Entry via a successful interview and audition. Mature students – English C/4. Mature students over 21 without the relevant qualifications will be required to demonstrate previous performance experience and evidence of academic ability.

Professional performer, director, touring theatre producer, event and entertainment manager, teacher/lecturer, arts/creative coordinator, theatrical agent.
