AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and membership body for accounting and finance staff; it has over 125,000 members in more than 90 countries worldwide. AAT qualifications provide accounting technician status. Accounting technicians work at all levels of finance, from accounts clerks to finance directors. The Level 3 Diploma is for candidates who have successfully completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate, or who have previous accounting qualifications and a good understanding of basic accounting. During the course, candidates will cover the following topics: • Principles of accounts preparation for sole traders and partnerships • The extended trial balance • Accounting for fixed assets • Principles of costing • Preparing and completing VAT returns • Professional ethics • Spreadsheet software
What do I need to join?
Candidates will need to have successfully achieved the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping prior to enrolling, and will also require a Level 2 in Maths and English (A to C grade GCSE or equivalent). The course is also open to others who can demonstrate prior bookkeeping experience through a successful interview and assessment. How will I know how I am doing?
Learning will take place in a classroom environment, with computer-based testing used for the assessment of each of the 6 units. Mock exams take place during classroom sessions. Final exams, most having instant results, follow the completion of each unit at a date and time to be advised at the start of your course.Apply for this course
