Summary
Your Level 2 Course:
What will my course include?
This inspiring programme will develop your performance skills and understanding of the performing arts industry. You will develop your knowledge and skills through a range of performance-based projects, accompanied by demonstrations and guidance from your industry-experienced tutors. Learners are given opportunities to perform to the public and local schools throughout the year, as well as attending regular trips to the theatre. The coursework is largely student-led and requires you to think creatively, with boldness and aspiration.
Course Structure: Your course criteria will be covered in four creative and technical projects throughout your year. Each project will provide an opportunity for in house or public performance during BIPA’s Autumn showcase season, Winter Public and Community show Season, BIPA’s Spring Multi Media Fest, and our final Summer Show Season.
Project 1: Skills Project – Introduction to basic and essential performing arts skills.
Project 2: Winter Show – You will work on public performance, exploring a range of material from script work and choreography, solo singing and devised theatrical content.
Project 3: Skills Project 2 – In this project you will further develop core performing and production skills, and put your techniques into a specialist context.
Final Major Project: You will develop a final performance which displays a culmination of all the work you have done over the year. Working on new material, you will create a public performance.
