Maths & English
A key requirement for obtaining many jobs is to achieve a good standard of English and maths. Therefore, learners who do not yet have a GCSE will be enrolled on either GCSE or functional skills programmes alongside their main course.
The performing arts and leisure industry is one of the few areas in the jobs market that has sustained levels of employment and has even shown areas of growth in the present economic climate.
There are no specific opportunities at this level, but learners participate in our two professional-standard theatre productions.
What can I do next?
Learners who successfully complete the qualification and all other elements of their study programme may progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts or another Level 2 qualification at SGS.
What are my career options?
Learners can progress onto higher-level courses, which could lead to careers in theatre, film, video and TV production, as well as career opportunities in other areas of employment.Apply for this course
